Toll discounts on highways during CNY

Motorists travelling on 17 highways in Peninsular Malaysia during the Chinese New Year holidays will get discounts on toll charges ranging from 5% - 20%, with one highway concessionaire offering free passage between 11:30 pm and 4:30 am. To enjoy the discounts on the other highways, travel time will have to be very late at night or in the early hours of the next day.

Prius recall to be announced

Toyota will soon be announcing a recall of the Prius hybrid to rectify a brake problem. The fix is said to involve a software update for the brake system which some owners have found to seem ineffective in certain conditions. It is not known yet if the recall will also be carried out in Malaysia and presumably UMW Toyota Motor will issue a statement when Toyota makes an official announcement.
