The ‘Spot The Avanza' contest, as part of the Toyota Merdecar Fest ’06 promotion, was organised with the objective of creating touch points with its customers who placed orders for Toyota cars between  August 1 2006 till the September 15 2006.

The ‘Spot The Avanza' contest required the customers to guess the number of ‘Avanzas’ in a word puzzle on the contest form. There were a total of 5,475 entries received with 49 lucky winners taking home attractive prizes.  49 prizes were offered to mark the 49th year of Merdeka this year.

The Grand Prize winner was Kelvin Leng Ka Weng from Petaling Jaya, Selangor, who won himself a Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6 Automatic while Tan Win Cu from Kajang, Selangor, received a Toyota Vios 1.5E as second prize winner. The third prize winner was Ranjit Singh a/l Hoja Singh from Puchong, Selangor, who won a Toyota Avanza 1.3 Automatic.  Sum Moi from Kuantan, Pahang, won an all-expenses paid trip to Hong Kong Disneyland for two adults and two children as the 4th prize winner. The consolation prizes for the other 45 winners were LCD TVs, cordless phones and MP3 players.

The winners were selected based on the correct number of “Avanzas” guessed, which in turn, qualified them for the lucky draw held on November 3 2006. Prizes were awarded on a lucky draw basis.
