F1 Rd 1: Two Ferraris up front with Vettel on starting grid

Two Ferraris are at the front of the starting grid for the first round of the 2010 season, with Felipe Massa alongside pole position leader Red Bull's Sebastien Vettel. In fourth position on the grid will be Lewis Hamilton of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team. The race starts at 8 pm Malaysian time tonight and you can talk about it in the MTM Forum.

Naza Group confirmed as new distributor of Chevrolet

As mentioned in our report on January 4, 2010, the Chevrolet distributorship will go to the Naza Group and this was finalised recently with the signing of an agreement with GM South East Asia Operations. Nothing of significance was mentioned after the signing ceremony apart from the usual statements that local assembly will be considered (which GM has been 'exploring' since 2003) and the retail network will be expanded.

No recall necessary for Nissan Frontier

Nissan Frontier models sold in Malaysia are not affected by the recall which has been announced in the USA. Edaran Tan Chong Motor says that the units sold here have different components and there have been no problems with the fuel gauge which prompted the recall.
